Our Vision

APMMA’s vision is to achieve optimal utilization of Pakistan’s mineral resources by ensuring participation of mining communities and employing sustainable and transparent mining practices in close coordination with public institutions and national mining companies.

Mission Statement

APMMA’s mission is to uplift the mineral sector of Pakistan with primary focus on national interest. It strives to form, for the first time in the country, a prosperous mining community through adoption of best professional and innovative mining practices.

Organizational Structure

“All Pakistan Mines and Minerals Association” (APMMA) is the leading Association working for the uplifting of minerals’ sector in Pakistan with close coordination and consultation with all stakeholders and public sector authorities. APMMA has an advantage, with existence of its organized formal structure in all four-provinces including Gilgit Baltistan. The association is working with provincial chapters across the mining areas in overall Pakistan, especially in Balochistan, well-known for its mineral resources across the globe.
APMMA is a registered body with Government of Pakistan under “Balochistan Charities Registration and Regulation Authority” (BCRA) and “Employers’ Federation of Pakistan” (EFP), however the Registration with “Security and Exchange Commission” (SECP) through “Director General Trade Organization” (DGTO) is under process so that APMMA practically becomes part of “The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries” (FPCCI).
APMMA (All Pakistan Mines and Minerals Association) is the only organized and registered association that endeavors for the protection of the rights of the small mine owners while also acting as a bridge between the Large-scale and Small-scale Mine Owners and entities. APMMA Overviews the overall Mineral Sector all across Pakistan.

The basic moto of APMMA is to protect the rights of the small Mine Owners within the ambit of the Constitution of Pakistan. The Association also maintains close ties with the Private & Public Sector Stakeholders to preemptively avert all disparities that can lead to conflict situations.
APMMA boasts an independent structure, comprised entirely of members from the mining business community with professional backgrounds.

The association was formed by a few legends of the mining community in the early seventies. Its inception was based on the foundation established by Meer Ibrahim Reki, Mohammad Sabir, Sardar Ali Ahmad Jogezai, Sardar Shah Nawaz Kurd and some other senior mine owners originating from the provincial capital Quetta. Initially the Association/Organization was run Informally on self-help basis. The need of time compelled them to organize the structure and broaden its scope with mutual consensus to include more mine owners belonging to far flung areas of Balochistan where different minerals like marble, onyx and coal were being extracted. It is pertinent to mention that in the early days, coal lessees were more dominant in the association. Later, the original informal structure slowly evolved by 2017 with the intention of representing all the 43 different types of minerals found in Balochistan. APMMA is being steered by a young and energetic team of individuals from the mining community with a professional approach, aiming to run the Association according to the requirements of the 21st century.

For the first time ever in Pakistan, with a dedicated team at the helm, the struggle to organize the mining community of all four provinces and GB began in earnest. In 2020, delegates of the mining community led by His Excellency President APMMA, Meer Behrose Reki, currently serving as ambassador of Pakistan, and Secretary General Fateh Shah Arif along with APMMA Sindh Chapter Vice President, Abdul Samad Raisani met with the lessees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh and Gilgit Baltistan. A comprehensive database compilation of all lessees around the country is in the process of being collected.
A temporary cabinet of the four provinces and Gilgit Baltistan has been formed with mutual consensus in Islamabad. The mining community participated in the gathering and the formation of provincial chapters of APMMA has been approved.
The basic structure of the Association shall exist on a temporary basis till it is formally registered with DGTO and is as follows:
